If you grew up in the Greater Toronto Area you probably had a field trip to Black Creek Pioneer Village, a historical group of buildings that gives us a glimpse of Toronto in the 1800’s. If you haven’t been back as an adult then you are missing out on a romantic rustic and vintage venue within the city! Thank you to Oshawa-based, Jennifer Van Son Photography for this real wedding submission that we are excited to share with our readers!
Amanda and Ben are a couple in which Jen describes as a pair that are just overflowing with love for each other and that feelings of joy were everywhere on their wedding day. Looking at these exceptionally captured moments from the day, we can understand why she thinks that!
The ceremony was held at 160-year-old Fisherville Church, a candlelit building with unique boxed pews and a white picket fence. Ben’s father, a Minister conducted the ceremony for the couple, a truly meaningful personal touch! The reception was held at Black Creek Pioneer Village’s largest venue, The Grand Pavilion. This shelter boasts a tall ceiling and allows the feeling of an outdoor reception with protection from the elements. We can only imagine how romantic it was to dine and dance while watching the sun go down.
We love the floral from Van Belle Flowers! The garden bouquets of purples, blues and white are beautiful and attention grabbing. The bowed bundled flowers along the pews were a pretty and delicate touch that complimented the antique white finish of the wooden pew boxes. We adore the addition of pops of yellow throughout the flowers and our favourite piece is the whimsical bridal floral crown!
Congratulations Amanda & Ben!
