Pack your bags! We are off to Park City, Utah for this St. Regis Deer Valley Resort wedding with Pepper Nix Photography and Soiree Productions! A thunderstorm, sabered bottles of champagne and if a Supreme Court Justice Associate demands your venue turn off the music you know you had a phenomenal and memorable event!
The bride was stunning in her Oscar de la Renta gown and mantilla veil with chantilly lace from Homa Bridal. Beautiful pave pear shaped earrings were made by Penny Preville and enhanced with diamond studs from her mother’s 10th anniversary gift from her father. To pay homage to the generations before her, the bride carried a hat pin in her bouquet that belonged to her great-grandmother The mother of the bride carried the same pin in her bouquet on her wedding day. We think this a lovely tradition!
The bridesmaids wore wonderful floral print Amsale gowns in different styles. We love the unique choice, we are sure these dresses will be worn time and time again!
An outdoor ceremony had a stunning mountain backdrop. A storm approached and along with the romantic string musicians the thunder created a dramatic entrance for the bride. Artisan Bloom created the most gorgeous altar that consisted of birch trees and an abundance of flowers. The aisle was covered in loose petals and mix of potted planters lined walkways and pews. An ombre display of pashminas were offered to keep guests warm in the cool breeze, no details were overlooked!
A showstopping cake from Carrie’s Wedding Cakes was a guest favourite! There were five tiers of lace details and floral garland of green hydrangeas, peach, pink and coral garden roses and ranunculus. The groom’s cake featured a golf scene created to represent the groom who played golf for Princeton University.
The reception was a spectacular vision. A mix of round and rectangular tables with large centerpieces of full, loose blooms. Dahlias, roses, tulips and summer foliages were just some of the floral used in the beautiful arrangements.
What was the couples favourite reception memory? Dancing! Although they don’t consider themselves great dancers, the couple took some lessons in order to prepare for their first dance. With the intense ceremony, guests were ready to let loose at the reception! The dance floor was packed and included the bride’s 92 year old grandmother who danced with the priest AND the hotel received a noise complaint from a Supreme Court Justice Associate! We like to think he decided to crash the wedding and enjoy the festivities along with the guests!
