Shangri-La Hotel Wedding, Toronto

Celebrated wedding photographer, Lisa of Lisa Mark Photography, was recently named Canadian Photographer of the Year and Best Photographer in Ontario by the Canadian Wedding Industry Awards. She graciously sent us this gorgeous downtown Toronto wedding.

The day began at the luxurious Shangri-la Hotel Toronto, then ceremony at historic Trinity College Chapel at University of Toronto, followed by the reception at St. Lawrence Hall.

Michelle & Steven’s wedding was full of elegance and personality! Including fun Chinese door games which had groom Steven plucking his own eyebrows for the amusement of his bride-to-be!

After a handful of portraits in the Shangri-la Hotel lobby, photographer Lisa captured one of her all time favorite images of 2014. Notice the couple in front of a fireplace; where their reflection radiates back into the beautiful image.

Some of the personal details of the reception included special hot sauce made by Michelle’s father, a.k.a. Uncle John, as guest favorites.

This couple LOVE to travel the globe, and the wanderlust theme of the wedding reception was apparent; we love that the guests signed a globe instead of a traditional guestbook.

The night was filled with heartfelt speeches, hilarious games and some traditional Chinese table toasting; a perfect end to a fantastic day!
