The Pan Am Experience

Love is in the air… on a flight to nowhere! The golden era of travel and the magic of the world’s most experienced airline takes off for the wonderful world of weddings. “Say Hello to Pan Am!” With the timeless décor of the 1970s inflight experience combined with First Class service, the Pan Am Experience brings a couple’s “I Do’s” to a whole new altitude.

Based in Los Angeles at Air Hollywood – the film location for inflight scenes from Bridesmaids, The Wolf of Wall Street, and many more of our favorite movies and television series – founder, Talaat Captan and film & television aviation prop master, Anthony Toth, together launched the Pan Am Experience – a service that promises patrons to “relive the magic of flying onboard a luxurious Pan Am 747.”

Within Air Hollywood’s unique aviation-themed film studio, an exact interior replica of a Pan Am Boeing 747 sits, complete with both the First & Clipper Class Cabins and Pan Am’s famous Upper Deck Dining Room. The airplane is outfitted with all the furnishing of this golden era of travel, including the classical spiral staircase that connects First Class to the Upper Deck as well as all the cabin décor that made the airplane so special, including authentic China, linens, and stemware from Pan Am.

June 16, 2017, marks the beginning of a new chapter for the Pan Am Experience. From engagement photos to wedding ceremonies and all those special moments in between, couples on the journey to destination I do can “Expect More From Pan Am” as the Pan Am Experience provides an unforgettable experience on the most important day of their lives.

About me

I’ve had the wedding and event planning gene since the day I was born and turned a hobby into my dream job 7 years ago when I accepted a position as an Event Coordinator with a local golf club. I met some wonderful couples and shared in some truly beautiful love stories. Along the way, two of my nephews were born and it was instant love. I wanted to spend as much time with them as I could and working for a venue meant I was all over the place with a very erratic schedule. I also felt like I was missing something. I was already volunteering my time to a local charity, the New Animal Shelter for Uxbridge-Scugog, and it fed my soul to do what I loved (event planning) and give back in a meaningful way. I wondered how I could turn that into a career and literally, the perfect opportunity fell into my lap. I now spend my days planning events for the Jennifer Ashleigh Children’s Charity. It is amazing to know that each event we plan means more dollars available for children and families across Ontario who are in desperate need of help. You may be wondering where my wedding planning love has been directed these days. I am thrilled to be part of the team at Nestleton Waters Inn, working with a fantastic group of ladies to make beautiful wedding dreams come true. Recently, I got to thinking that something else was missing. It came down to a simple fact – I love writing! So, it’s the perfect fit for me to be writing with The Wedding Opera team. It is my honour to share the best of the wedding world with all of you. Grab a cup of tea and join us!
